Each year at the Tygerberg Eisteddfod our children are given the opportunity to participate in various categories such as Art, Pian, Record, Orf, Speech Choir, Choir and Poetry.
Koor
Every Tuesday morning, sixty children from Durbanville Prep get together to attack the “highs” and “lows” of that concept which is called “choir”
Tydens ons deelname aan die Tygerbergse en Stellenbosse Eisteddfods kon ons al wegstap met Cum Laude toekennings. Ons het ook die voorreg gehad om in die Endlersaal in Stellenbosch op te tree saam met die ander top kore in die Kaap.
The Concert
Our annual concert is a highlight on our cultural calendar. Every single pupil gets a role to play, and people come from near and far to see our spectacular productions. Past highlights include plays such as Josep, A tribute to the 20th Century, Movie Magic, Live your Passions as well as Beauty and the Beast.
Musiek
Apart from class music, pupils receive individual music tuition in the violin, piano, recorder and guitar, while other pupils may choose to join the Orff Orchestra. Regular performance by all our musicians bring much credit to our school.
